Below is the cover of a book of letters between Virginia Woolf and Vita Sackville-West. Woolf was 10 years older than Sackville-West. I find this book cover worth posting because the publishers evidently decided that Sackville-West would get front billing on the cover, with the coy hand pointing at Woolf, hovering indeterminately in the background. Is that how the relationship was?

I have a similar question about the 2018 film Vita and Virginia where the actress playing Vita should have towered over the actress playing Virginia. Instead, the film reverses this, something critics rightly objected to.
