Playboy México and the Virgin

In 2008, Playboy México caused a storm of controversy by releasing this issue to coincide with the December 12 holiday of the Virgin of Guadalupe. It sold well... My point here is really that in México today, the Virgin of Guadalupe has transitioned somewhat into a more secular symbol, representing national and cultural identity rather than just a religious one.
